This term, we will:

In English, we will learn to write effective story openings that introduce characters and setting based on 'A Wizard of Earthsea' by Ursula K. Le Guin, and write accounts of significant events based on 'Everest' by Alexandra Stewart and Joe Todd-Stanton.

In Maths, we will learn about multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages.

Reading lessons will be based on the books 'The Boy in the Tower' by Polly Ho-Yen and 'I Am Not A Label' by Cerrie Burnell.

In Art, we will learn about and create 3D art based on the work of Dame Jocelyn Barbara Hepworth.

We will learn about migration and North and South America during our Geography lessons.

In History lessons, we will study the Vikings and Norse culture.

The children will study the solar system and learn about living things and their habitats in our Science lessons.

The children will have a PE lesson on a Monday afternoon and a gymnastics or dance lesson.  We will confirm the day of the indoor PE lesson when timetables are finalised.

In Religious Education lessons, we will be learning about Christian traditions and studying two Christian sites.

The children will continue with French lessons, focusing on phonics, vocabulary and grammar with Mrs Kandes.
